Justin Fields Next Team Odds: Steelers Now Favored to Land Fields
Fact Checked by Pat McLoone

A tough, 0-4 start by the Chicago Bears confounded fans and Illinois sports betting patrons. The Bears finished 7-10 and in third place in the NFC North, which pushed the franchise’s postseason drought to three seasons.

One major storyline of the year was the inconsistent play of former first-round pick Justin Fields, who had his best touchdown-to-interception ratio of his career (1.8-to-1) but finished with the league’s 23rd-best QBR (46.2). It made for more questions than answers.

The third-year signal-caller out of Ohio State is only 24 and has a lot of football left before exiting his prime, but the Bears’ playoff chances cratered and there are rumblings about whether Chicago will deal Fields this offseason.

While Fields has a year left on his rookie deal, it’s worth wondering if Chicago will part with him this offseason, depending on who the Bears will draft with the number 1 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft (via the Carolina Panthers).

With that in mind, IllinoisBet.com – your source for Illinois betting apps - broke down the odds on which team could land Fields this offseason, starting with the NFL team in his home state of Georgia.

Where Will Fields Land Next?

Our revamped odds show the Pittsburgh Steelers' odds shortening from +1000 to +400, with rumors swirling that future Hall of Fame coach Mike Tomlin is a fan of Fields. And after the Steelers released veteran Mitch Trubisky on Feb. 12, it clears a path for Fields to come in and compete with Kenny Pickett for the starting job next season.

The other odds-on leader to land Fields on our list remains the same in the Atlanta Falcons because they have a new coach in Raheem Morris. It’s also worth noting that Fields hails from Kennesaw, which is 26 miles northwest of the Falcons’ home field in downtown Atlanta, which could increase the draw of coming home for the former Georgia and Ohio State quarterback.

Overall, the Falcons come in at +600 to land Fields via a trade, beating out the Minnesota Vikings (+900). The New England Patriots (+1000), Denver Broncos and Las Vegas Raiders (both +1200) follow. There’s also a strong 33.3% (+200) chance that Fields and the Bears ink a long-term extension.

One way or another, we’ll soon find out where Fields will play next, in the Windy City or in another location entirely.  Count on IllinoisBet.com to follow any movement as well as provide Illinois sportsbook promos.
