Illinois sports betting fans will have a new place to grab a beverage and place a wager as Bally’s announced the opening of Bally Bet Sportsbook & Bar in Rock Island.

The retail sportsbook is located within Bally's Quad Cities Casino & Hotel and features three betting windows, five self-service betting kiosks, 25 big TV screens, a 20-foot LED video wall, 25-seat bar, and a private dining area called The Luxury Box.

“We are very proud to introduce our retail Bally Bet Sportsbook in Illinois, a state with a coveted sports history and a legion of loyal fans,” said George Papanier, president at Bally’s Corporation, in a news release late last week.

“We are excited to bring this elevated experience to Quad Cities’ sports bar experience.  I would like to thank the State of Illinois for its collaboration throughout this process, and I would also like to recognize our team members for their contributions to this for this opportunity.”

The brick-and-mortar Bally Bet Illinois location is open Monday through Friday (noon-10:00 p.m.) and Saturday and Sunday (10:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m.). Back in November, Bally Bet re-launched its mobile sports wagering app in New York.

Currently, Bally’s Corporation owns and manages 17 casinos across 11 states, a golf course in New York, a horse racetrack in Colorado (Arapahoe Park), and has access to OSB licenses in 18 states.

Illinois online casinos are not legal yet, but check back with IllinoisBet for updates as the year goes on.
