Caesars Dedicated to Horse Racing

Caesars Entertainment has been a longtime supporter of everything horse racing, including being the presenting sponsor of the annual National Horseplayers Championship at Horseshoe Las Vegas (March 15-17). Caesars also operates horse racing tracks at Harrah’s Hoosier Park, Horseshoe Indianapolis, Harrah’s Philadelphia and Eldorado Gaming Scioto Downs.

Their new endeavor - Harrah’s Columbus Racing & Casino (casino, sportsbook and a one-mile thoroughbred racetrack) - is scheduled to open before June in Columbus, Nebraska. Eleven racetracks all have or will begin their winter meets this month: Aqueduct, Charles Town, Laurel Park, Louisiana Downs, Mahoning Valley Race Course, Parx Racing, Penn National, Sam Houston, Sunland Park, Turfway Park and Turf Paradise.

As a side note, Caesars Entertainment will release its financial results for the fourth quarter and full year 2023 after the market closes on Feb. 20. Stay close to IllinoisBet.com for racing and sports betting news as well as for information on Illinois online casinos.
