Caesars Sportsbook Illinois is the latest to launch fully mobile sports betting operations in the state, joining the fray Wednesday morning.

The Las Vegas mainstay has long had an Illinois sports betting presence through its Harrah’s properties in Joliet and Elgin, in addition to the Grand Victoria Casino.

The operator, which said in a company press release it’s working to announce local partnerships in Illinois in the future, is taking advantage of the state’s decision to permanently allow off-site mobile sportsbook registration. The law allowing mobile registration went into effect March 5.

Caesars Sportsbook is now live in 22 states, including 16 with mobile sports betting.

"We're pleased to launch our best mobile sports wagering product and to reach more sports fans in Illinois," Caesars Digital co-president Chris Holdren said in a press release. "This is an important step for us as we continue to expand our offering of best-in-class rewards for sports fans across the state."
